Alcohol Diversion Program (ADP) & Drug Education Program (DEP)

The Alcohol Diverson Program educates students about the potential dangers of alcohol use and abuse. Similarly the Drug Education Program educates students about the dangers of drug use and abuse. These free programs are administered by the Office of Student Judicial Affairs, the Student Counseling Center, the Safety Environment Education (SEE) Center, and the UT Police Department.

ADP and DEP Classes are scheduled for two hour time periods throughout the semester at either the University Center or UTPD (corner of 11th Street and Cumberland Ave.). During a student's appointment with a Judicial Advisor they will schedule a time that best accomodates the student's schedule. Failure to attend an ADP Class or a DEP Class as part of a sanction is a violation of the Standards of Conduct and can result in an additional penalty.

A sanction involving only an ADP class and/or DEP class does not create a permanent disciplinary record. However a student may be required to take the ADP Class and/or the DEP Class as part of a greater sanction that does create a permanent disciplinary record.

For dates/times, or to schedule your ADP or DEP Class please call (865) 974-3171.

eCHECKUP TO GO

The eCHECKUP TO GO program is a brief assessment that provides students with detailed and personalized feedback on their use of alcohol, and specific information and helpful resources in the University of Tennessee community. The program is free of charge and takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. During the assessment students are requested to submit information about their alcohol use. All answer are CONFIDENTIAL and no personally identifiable information is stored with their responses. At the end of the assessment, students are asked to submit their UT email address, UT student ID number (000-XX-XXX), click the "Electronic Verification of Completion" box, and select "Send my responses to: Judicial Affairs." Students are generally given seven days after their appointment to complete the assessment. The link to this course is on the Judicial Affairs homepage.
